Privacy notice
How we look after your details.
This notice explains, in plain English, what happens to the information you send us through the enquiry form on this website.
Who we are
The Right Education Institute is a UK-based online tuition provider. We are responsible for the information you send us. You can contact us about anything in this notice at therightrecitation@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you fill in our enquiry form, we collect:
- your name and email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give it
- your child's year group (or that you are an adult learner)
- which subject or programme you are interested in
- anything you write in the message box
- that you ticked the box agreeing to us contacting you
Please only tell us what we need to help with your enquiry. We don't need your child's full name, school or any medical details at this stage.
Why we use it
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, suggest a tutor and arrange a free trial lesson. We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing, and we never sell your details.
Under UK data protection law, we rely on your consent (the tick box on the form) and on taking the steps you have asked for before you decide whether to book lessons.
Who else sees it
Only our own team reads your enquiry. If we introduce you to a tutor for a trial lesson, we share only what they need to teach your child. Some of our tutors are based outside the UK.
We use two trusted services to receive your enquiry:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the form for us. Netlify may also use technical details such as your IP address to filter out spam.
- Google (Gmail), where we receive and reply to enquiries by email.
These companies, and tutors based abroad, may handle data outside the UK. When this happens, we make sure the safeguards required by UK law are in place. We don't share your details with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
Lessons on Zoom
Our lessons take place live on Zoom. When you or your child join a lesson, Zoom handles information such as your name, video and audio under its own privacy statement.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry doesn't lead to lessons, we delete it within 12 months of our last contact with you. If you go on to book lessons, we keep your contact details for as long as lessons continue, then delete them within 12 months of the last lesson unless the law requires us to keep something for longer.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and send you a copy
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information
- stop contacting you (you can withdraw your consent at any time)
To do any of these, just email therightrecitation@gmail.com. We will reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Cookies
This website doesn't use cookies or tracking. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address with them when the page loads.
Our Instagram and TikTok links take you to those websites, which have their own privacy policies. We don't add any of their tracking to this site.
